How we do it
A home charger is the cheapest way to run an electric car, as long as it is fitted properly. Most of the work is not the box on the wall. It is making sure the house can feed it without tripping the main fuse on a cold evening, and that the earthing is safe for a car parked outside.
We fit a current clamp at your meter, so the charger reads how much the house is using and slows down when it has to. You never notice, and the fuse never blows.
Most installs take a morning. We mount the charger where you actually park, run armoured cable back to the board as neatly as the wall allows, set up the app and off-peak schedule with you, and register the install with the network operator. You get a certificate before we leave.

Common questions
Can my house take a 7 kW charger?
Almost every house with a 100 A main fuse can, as long as the charger is load-managed. We fit a current clamp at the meter so the charger slows down when the oven and shower are on.
Do I need to tell the network operator?
Yes, and we do it for you. For most homes it is a notification after the job, not an application before it.
Tethered or untethered?
Tethered means the cable lives on the charger, which is quicker every night. Untethered looks tidier and suits two cars with different plugs. Same price either way.
